Responsibilities and Privileges List
As our children grow and mature, they want more privileges. This is a natural part of growing up. But along with privileges, come responsibilities. When we earn the privilege of driving a car, we have a duty to drive responsibly. When we receive a promotion and pay raise at work, we have additional job duties or possibly employees under our direction.
Responsibilities and privileges throughout our life are related. We can help our children see the correlation from an early age. As they demonstrate maturity and fulfill their responsibilities, they will earn more privileges.
The corollary is also true. If we do not fulfill our responsibilities, our privileges can be taken away. This is true for adults and children alike. When you have established responsibilities and privileges for your children, losing their privileges is no longer a punishment, but a natural consequence of their behavior.
This digital product (PDF) is available for immediate download after purchase and includes over 120 suggestions of responsibilities and privileges for your children of all ages as well as suggestions for implementing a responsibilities and privileges list.
